We are pleased to announce that the Asia Books Book Fair is coming to our school from Monday, May 15th to Friday, May 19th, 2023 in the D building. Students from all buildings are invited to attend. The book fair will take place from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily and will offer a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore and purchase books from a diverse range of genres.
The Asia Books Book Fair is known for its extensive selection of books, including classic literature, fiction, non-fiction, educational books, and more. During the fair, Asia Books will offer a 10% discount on all books sold, making it an ideal time to purchase new books for a student's personal collection or as gifts.
We are also excited to inform you that the school will receive a 10% commission of all book sales from the fair, which will be used to purchase new books for our school libraries. Your support of this book fair will directly benefit our students and help to expand our library collection.
Please mark your calendars for this exciting event and encourage your child to take advantage of this opportunity to discover new books and authors. We hope to see you there and appreciate your ongoing support of our school's academic and literacy programs.
Thank you for your attention, and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Dear Parents/Guardians of Students in Grade 12,
As the end of the academic year draws near, we are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating seniors. One of the ways we celebrate their achievements is by featuring them in our graduation ceremony through a senior quote and a childhood photo.
We kindly request that you encourage your graduating senior to provide us with a senior quote that is meaningful to them. This can be a famous quote, a personal motto, or a message of thanks to friends, family, or teachers. Please remind them that this quote will be shared with their fellow graduates and our school community, so it should be appropriate and reflect their values and character. They can submit their quotes to either their homeroom teacher or the school librarian.
In addition to the senior quote, we also like to remind you to please submit any photos of your child from their childhood years. These photos will be used in our graduation ceremony to showcase our seniors' growth and journey throughout their academic career. Please ensure that these photos are of good quality and do not include any other individuals without their consent.
Please submit the senior quote and childhood photos no later than Friday, May 19th, 2023. We appreciate your cooperation and support in making this graduation ceremony a memorable experience for our seniors. We are looking forward to celebrating their graduation.
Sincerely,
Unity Concord International School Administration Team

This year, Unity will participate in the World Scholar's Cup on May 13-14th (Saturday and Sunday) at Panyaden International School. The event is focused on academics, but there is also a "scholar's showcase," which is a student talent show, so students that are talented in singing, dancing, and music are also encouraged to join. Students will participate in several academic events, and the winners will move on to the semi-finals in Bangkok. The WSC is an academic competition consisting of 4 events - Scholar's Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Scholar's Challenge, and Team Debate, plus the optional talent show.
Each team will need to compete in all of the events, but the talent show is voluntary (though also highly encouraged!). Topics in the events will cover most school subjects, including History, Science, Social Studies, Art, Math, and English. The event looks excellent in student portfolios, especially if they win the competition! Students will compete in teams of 3, so students can either choose their own teams, or they can be assigned a team by their teachers.
Though it is a competition, it also has a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and it is a great opportunity for students to socialize and network with peers. You can see a video of last year's event below
You can also find out more information here:
If you are interested in joining, please contact your homeroom teacher or the librarian. Thank you and good luck!
If you have books that you don't want or need anymore, please consider donating them to the UCIS library. We accept all age level appropriate books, and we appreciate any donations you can provide. Please help grow the library at UCIS by donating any books you no longer need or use! Thank you!
The UCIS science fair was an exciting event that brought together students from different grades to showcase their science projects. At the science fair, participants had the opportunity to present their scientific investigations, experiments, and inventions to judges, teachers, and peers. The projects covered a wide range of topics, from biology and chemistry to physics and engineering. Through participation in science fairs, students learn critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, as well as gain confidence and enthusiasm for science. The science fair was an excellent platform for students to showcase their creativity, curiosity, and passion for science and inspire others to pursue science-related careers. Now, we are proud to announce the winners for the fair!

Reading Month Activities
This is the letter sent home to parents about reading month which explains all of the activities and events for February.
The Starry Night is an oil-on-canvas painting by the Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. Painted in June 1889, it depicts the view from the east-facing window of his asylum room at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just before sunrise, with the addition of an imaginary village. Joel G10 repainted the piece over four weeks in studio art. Well done Joel. We'll change your name to vincent van "Jogh"
